IMPULSE – Touch&Play Australia 2025
What are our impulses born from?
Where do they live inside of us?
How do we decide which impulses to act upon and which to release? Do we truly have a choice?
These questions serve as the foundation for exploring our innate, instinctual bodies alongside the socially constructed frameworks that shape our interactions with one another.
We envision this retreat as a unique opportunity to observe and perhaps peel away conditioned layers and rediscover a raw nature body in connection with the naked land and the elements. Deeply engaging with the earth, sand, ocean, sky, rain, sunshine, and fire, until we find these elements within ourselves once more. Allowing our body-mind to flow freely in connection with nature, and each other.
Through movement and touch we will explore the impulse to connect and the impulse to let go of one another. Exploring how play, hunger, desire and sorrow all guide, weave and shape our experiences.

ABOUT THE TOUCH&PLAY MOVEMENT

Touch&Play is an exciting and growing global network of local communities that come together around a set of shared practices and a common culture. We’ve been organizing retreats and community gatherings since 2010 and have held events in 16 different countries and 4 different continents. Our events strike a balance between the local context and culture where a retreat takes places and the global embodied, humanistic and spiritual practices and values that underpin our work. In the end we are striving to build a deeply caring and seriously playful world where we can live authentically and in peace with ourselves and our communities.
